Presentation of the Union’s President titled “Risk management: features of mandatory insurance of liability of the owner of dangerous object in the oil and gas industry” will be made at the Panel "International Experience of Risk Management in the Oil&Gas industry".

One of the most interesting and topical events of the Conference will be the Interactive Seminar "The essence of survey and its place in the system of risk management" with participation of Alexander Kolesnikov, Head of the Department for technical expertise and investigation of accidents of the National Union of Liability Insurers.

Berlin (Germany), 23 June. President of the Institute for Energy and Finance, Co-Chair of the EU-Russia Gas Advisory Council Vladimir Feigin took part in the International conference "Prospects of Russia - EU energy cooperation: Gas Aspect".

A comprehensive discussion of the practical issues of developing the system of insurance and risk management in the Russian energy sector, including improvement of the legal framework, financial instruments, tariff and investment policy, as well as implementation of advanced international technologies to reduce the risks and improve the safety of the Russian energy sector took place.

President of the Union will contribute to the Panel Discussion "International Experience of Risk Management in the Energy Sector". The report of Andrey Yuryev with the title "The features of the compulsory insurance of dangerous objects liability in the energy sector" will focus on innovations in the legislation, practice of compulsory liability insurance, order of events settlement, proposals to adjust the rates based on the expansion of limits coverage in connection with the adoption of amendments to the legislation and other topical issues.

Within the framework of the Panel Discussion "International Experience of Risk Management in the Energy Sector" Aleksey Leonenko, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board SOGAZ OJSC will make a presentation "Risk insurance problems during implementation of major investment projects in the energy sector".

Yury Kovalev will deliver the keynote speech devoted to the features of provisioning funds by owners of potentially dangerous objects (enterprises) for liquidation of technogenic emergency situations, accidents, as well as oil spills under the new economic conditions within the framework of the Interactive Seminar «Compensation of Damage resulting from Accidents, Emergencies and Disasters in the Energy companies”.
The participants of the Interactive Seminar will have an opportunity to ask questions about the problems of the insurance for hazardous production facilities.

Roman Frolov will participate at the Interactive Risk Management Seminar «Compensation of Damage resulting from Accidents, Emergencies and Disasters in the Energy companies”. The key topic of the presentation will be high-risk insurance and insurance covering risks not only of emergencies but also of the accident, as a less costly form compared to the allowance.

Roman Tikhonenko will contribute to the programme of the Round table «The Ratio between the Government Regulation and Risk-based Approach at the Russian Energy Enterprises”.
