The Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak in the program "News on Saturday" at Russia-1 TV Channel told about the progress and prospects of the negotiations between Russia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Venezuela, which took place this week.

Iran has a positive attitude towards the reached agreements to freeze oil production at the level of January 2016, but it’s not ready to join them, said Alexander Novak.

The decision to hold the JODI Training Workshop JODI (IEF) back-to-back with EPP 2016 was adopted on the initiative of Fouad Al-Zayer, Global Coordinator, Energy Data Transparency - JODI (IEF) at the meeting in London in early February with participation of the representatives of the world's leading energy organizations, including APEC, Eurostat, IEA, GECF, OLADE, OPEC and UNSD.

The meeting of the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak with the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia Ali Al-Naimi, Minister of Petroleum of Qatar, Mohammed al-Sade and the Minister of Mines and Petroleum of Venezuela Eulogio del Pino took place in Doha (Qatar) on February, 16.

 

"Following the meeting, the four countries - Russia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Venezuela - are willing to freeze oil production at the level of January, if other manufacturers join this initiative," - said Alexander Novak after the talks.

Chairman of the State Duma Committee of Energy of the Russian Federation, President of "Russian Gas Society" Pavel Zavalny will make a presentation at the International Investment Forum «Innovations in Energy – Investments in Sustainable Economic Development» within the framework of EPP-2016.
