President Putin and President Erdogan are expected to meet in Turkey in the first week of April. The two leaders will chair the seventh meeting of the Turkish-Russian High-Level Cooperation Council (HLCC) and attend the NPP ground-laying ceremony.
The issues of risk management, as well as ensuring industrial, information, radiation and environmental safety at constructing and operating NPP Akkuyu and other international projects in the Black Sea region and European countries will be discussed with participation of the leaders of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) within the framework of the International Conference “Risk Management Leaders in Energy» (the Conference)  on May 15-16, 2018 in Istanbul, Turkey.

The meeting devoted to preparing the International Conference "Risk Management Leaders in Energy" (Conference), May 15-16, 2018, Istanbul (Turkey) took place in the Russian Ministry of Energy on March 15 under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Energy Anatily Yanovsky.

 

The Heads of the leading International organizations of the Black Sea region BSEC Secretary General Michael Christidees and President of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) Ihsan Delikanli have already confirmed their participation in the Conference.

 

The participation of BSEC and BSTDB leaders in the Conference confirms the interest of the countries of the Black Sea region and South-Eastern Europe in developing economic relations with Russia.

Dr. Delikanli, President of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank will make a presentation within the Plenary Session “RISKS IN THE MORDEN WORLD ENERGY AND GOVERING THEM”.

 

Mr. Ihsan Ugur Delikanli was appointed President of the Black Sea Trade & Development Bank as of July 16, 2014 for a period of four years. He started his professional career in the financial sector as a Sworn Banks Auditor at the Undersecretariat of Treasury of the Republic of Turkey in 1992. In 2005 he became Head of the Regulations Department in the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency of Turkey, and in 2009 he was appointed Vice President. In 2012, Mr. Delikanli moved to the private sector as Executive Vice President of one of the Turkish investment banks.

Mr. Michael Christides, BSEC Secretary General noted the particular significance of the Conference issues, as well as importance of expanding energy cooperation for the member countries of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation.

14 February, Riyadh. - An opening speech at the Symposium was delivered by Mr. Alexander Novak, the Russian Minister of Energy. The opening ceremony was also attended by Eng. Khalid A. Al-Falih, Minister of Energy Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Aziz Rabbah, Minister of Energy, Mines and Sustainable Development, Kingdom of Morocco, Dr. Sun Xiansheng, IEF Secretary General, Mr. Mohammad Barkindo, OPEC Secretary General and Mr. Keisuke Sadamori, IEA Director for Energy Markets and Security.

The meeting devoted to preparing the International Conference "Risk Management Leaders in Energy" (Conference), May 15-16, 2018, Istanbul (Turkey) took place in the Russian Ministry of Energy on February 8 under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Energy Anatily Yanovsky.

The Head of Matthews Daniel International will make a presentation within the first day of the Conference at the Round table “Insurance as an Integral Part of General Risk Management Process”.

This edition of the Report focuses in particular on four key areas: environmental degradation, cybersecurity, economic problems and geopolitical tensions.

Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Energy, President of the Russian Gas Society will make a presentation within the Plenary “Risk Management in Energy: Implications of a New Market Environment and Energy Transition”.


A special attention of Russian and International companies to issues of risk management as well as to providing industrial, environment and information security when implementing projects in the Black Sea Region and South-Eastern Europe in terms of unstable geopolitical situation, economic sanctions, development of new technologies for nontraditional resource production, volatile oil prices will be demonstrated at the Conference.
