03.28.2018 // Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkey counterpart President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan are expected to attend the ground-laying ceremony of nuclear power plant in Akkuyu in the beginning of April, 2018.

President Putin and President Erdogan are expected to meet in Turkey in the first week of April. The two leaders will chair the seventh meeting of the Turkish-Russian High-Level Cooperation Council (HLCC) and attend the NPP ground-laying ceremony.
The issues of risk management, as well as ensuring industrial, information, radiation and environmental safety at constructing and operating NPP Akkuyu and other international projects in the Black Sea region and European countries will be discussed with participation of the leaders of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) within the framework of the International Conference “Risk Management Leaders in Energy» (the Conference)  on May 15-16, 2018 in Istanbul, Turkey.

The Conference will be attended by Ambassador Michael B. CHRISTIDES, BSEC Secretary General: Dr. Delikanli, President of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank; Ms. Natalia Karpova, Deputy Chairman of the Board, "Russian National Reinsurance Company" (Russia); Ms. Irina Andropova, Risk Management Director, Rusatom Energo International (Russia); Ms. Nicola Crawford, Chair of the Board, Institute of Risk Management, UK; Mr. Hugh Edward Kennaway, Director Matthews Daniel International Ltd (London); Dr. Oriol Pujoldevall, Head of Communications, Grid Singularity, Energy Web Foundation (EWF);  Mr. Pavel Smolkov, Head of Risk Management and Operational Controlling Department, "Inter RAO" Russia and others.
The Conference is being organized by the Institute for Energy and Finance (IEF, the Russian Federation) in collaboration with the Turkey Working Group of the Institute of Risk Management (IRM, the United Kingdom).
