"BSEC has a good experience of partnership with other multilateral structures. I recall that the Organization had earlier established productive contacts with the Eurasian Economic Community. This Community was reorganized as the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which became an important factor in the integration processes in the region", - concluded the Head Foreign Ministry of Russia.
The possibility of using the experience of the EAEU in integrating energy systems and markets aimed at ensuring reliability and equal conditions of energy supply, as well as infrastructure, institutional and technological development of the energy systems of the Union member countries also was considered by the Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Anatoly Yanovsky at the First International BSEC Conference “Risk Management Leaders in Energy”, held in Istanbul (Turkey) in May 2018.
An expanded discussion of the role of the Black Sea region in Eurasian energy integration, prospects for energy interaction between the integration associations of BSEC and the EAEU and other ways of managing risks in the modern world energy sector will take place within the framework of the Second International BSEC Conference “Risk Management in Energy – 2019” on May 22-23 in Sofia (Bulgaria).
