Ufa, July 9. - Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak attended the meeting of the BRICS countries leaders within the delegation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The political coordination and global governance, sustainable development challenges as well as  the expansion of cooperation within the association were discussed at the meeting.

 

The participants of the meeting discussed in detail the situation in the world economy. "We are concerned about the instability in the markets, higher volatility in prices for energy and commodities, accumulation of sovereign debt by the number of major countries. All these structural imbalances directly affect the dynamics of our economies growth. The BRICS states intend to actively use its own resources and development of internal resources in these circumstances, "- said Vladimir Putin.
