Mr. Ahmet Turkoglu, General Manager, Energy Exchange Istanbul EPIAS

Graduated from Bogazici University in 1996 (BA International Relations), Mr Turkoglu embarked on his career journey as the Store Manager at Office 1 Superstore. He then consecutively worked as Sales Manager at Casio Office Products (1999-2003) and Sales and Marketing Director at Calik Holding (2003-2009). In 2010, he was appointed as the Deputy Director of TP Petroleum Distribution Company (TPPD) and he has managed many operations in the areas of sales, marketing, projects and investments, PR, acquisitions, human resources, finance and budgeting and effective coordination of domestic and overseas markets. In 2013, he was appointed as the CEO of Ozturk Group which owns companies such as OPET and Regnum Hotels in Turkey.

 Mr Turkoglu, having an extensive experience especially in the areas of contract management, purchase and acquisition, sales, marketing, branding, positioning, strategic planning and entrepreneurship and in the senior managerial position in energy sector, served as the CEO of Turkish Energy Company (TEC) since 2016 and as both CEO and Chairman of Turkish Petroleum International Company (TPIC) since February 2017.

Finally appointed as the CEO of EPIAS in June, 2018, Mr Turkoglu is native in Turkish and fluent in English.
